Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory

Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory was founded in 1946 by the legendary scientist Viktor Ambartsumian. From the moment of its foundation to present day there had been numerous important discoveries done here and now it is open for your visit as well. BAO is recognized by the scientific community as one of the major centres for astrophysical research.
